Shimba Hills (Soaring/XC):
Shimba Hills is a short soaring ridge, facing East, just 20km inland from Diani Beach, that works in the evenings during and after the monsoon season, when the winds calm at sunset and face more easterly direction.
The site is around a 45min drive from Diani Beach Airport, the main touristic beach destination at the south coast of Kenya.
Access to the spot is all tarmac road and a short 1km dirt road.

Diani Beach (PPG):
Diani Beach is a very scenic flying spot and can only be flown by paramotor. Beach takeoffs should be planned south of Neptune Beach Hotel and flights should go along the beach heading south from there. This is outside of Diani Beach Airport Airspace (please check links below).
- PPG are ideal when the tide is out and in low winds, usually in the morning or evening hours.
- Please be aware of tourists and fishers on the beach, during takeoffs and landings.
- Wear a life vest when PPG over water and do not fly beyond the reef.
